The Government Academe Industry Network, Inc. (GAIN) and People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement during PMAP’s 668th General Membership Meeting held via Zoom last September 29, 2021.
As the largest and most recognized association of HR professionals in the country, PMAP spearheaded the advocacy for global competitiveness in the industry through its Circular No. 2021-030, an announcement sent to its 2,500-strong membership encouraging the use and adoption of the Common European Framework of References for Languages (CEFR), and supporting the initiative on the National Roadmap for Global Competitiveness in Communication Skills (NRGCCS) of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) that will enable graduates to be industry-ready, and the current workforce to be equipped with globally competitive communication skills. Representing GAIN for the virtual signing were its Chairman Dr. Peter Laurel, President Ms. Monette Iturralde-Hamlin, and Director Mr. Rex Wallen Tan. Representing PMAP were its President Ms. Angelina Mukhi, FPM, Board Member for Academe-Industry Committee Mr. Ericson Del Castillo, FPM, and Board Member for Research Committee Ms. Ma. Elizabeth Nasol, DPM.
