Dr. Peter P. Laurel
Chairman of GAIN President of the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP) President of Lyceum of the Philippines University - Batangas and Laguna Dr. Peter P. Laurel is the President of the Lyceum of the Philippines University in Batangas, Laguna and Davao campuses, internationally accredited and award-winning higher educational institutions. He is also an advocate of effective leadership in higher education system being the former President of Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities (PACU) and currently (2022), the President of the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP).
He is a Golden Juran Awardee for outstanding leadership in 2015, named Entrepreneur of the Year finalist for 2017 (Ernst & Young), and a GO Negosyo Awardee for outstanding entrepreneurship. A PhD holder in Business Management, he earned his Masters Degree from Asian Institute of Management and Bachelor's Degree from the London School of Economics. He is also the Chairman of Southville International School and Colleges and the Chairman of the Government Academe Industry Network (GAIN). |
Ms. Maria Montserrat Iturralde-Hamlin
President of GAIN President and Founder of TeamAsia Ms. Monette Iturralde-Hamlin is founder and president of 29-year-old award-winning TeamAsia, an integrated marketing communications firm that brings brands to the next level experience (www.teamasia.com). She concurrently serves as chairwoman of Women’s Business Council Philippines; chairwoman of Hopkins International Partners, Inc.; president of Government-Academe-Industry Network; and VP for Conventions of Philippine Association of Convention/Exhibition Organizers and Suppliers.
She served on the Philippine Tourism Promotions Board for three years. A co-founder and lecturer of Philippine MICE Academy, she heads the Philippine M.I.C.E Roadmap 2030 SWG-HR. A sought-after speaker, trainer, business consultant and author, Monette has received LinkedIn’s 2021 Most Influential Filipino Women; ASEAN Women Entrepreneurs Network’s 2018 Outstanding Women Entrepreneur; Philippines Women Leadership Awards 2018, and IABC 2016 CEO Excel Award. She completed AB Psychology at College of the Holy Spirit, graduating Summa Cum Laude; MBM with Distinction at Asian Institute of Management; and is a Fellow of Institute of Corporate Directors. |
Dr. Raymundo P. Arcega
Vice President for Government Linkages of GAIN President and Executive Director of Association of Local Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (ALCUCOA) President, University of Muntinlupa Dr. Raymundo P. Arcega is a Career Executive Service Officer. An alumnus of the Ateneo de Manila University, he is currently the President of University of Muntinlupa and Chancellor of Diliman College.
He is a visiting professor to top universities in the country and an author of a number of books on community development, human resource management, consumer behavior, and strategic management. Dr. Arcega is the current Vice President for Government Linkages of the Government Academe Industry Network (GAIN) Inc., Chairman of the National Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in the Philippines (NNQAA) and the President and Executive Director Commission on Accreditation for Local Colleges and Universities (ALCUCOA). |
Dr. Conrado E. Iñigo Jr.
Vice President for Academic Linkages of GAIN Chairman of the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) Chief Executive Officer of University of the Visayas Dr. Conrado E. Iñigo Jr. has over 40 years of administrative and academic experience, most notably at Centro Escolar University and Lyceum of the Philippines University. Currently, he is the Chief Executive Officer of the University of the Visayas.
He took his Post-Doctoral course in Management Development Program from Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania and Minnesota Management Academy, University of Minnesota. He is one of the active and recognized leaders of the educational, professional, and civic organizations, being the Founding President of the Philippine Council of Deans and Educators in Business, Charter Officer of the Council of Management Educators in the Philippines, Deputy-President of the ASEAN Tourism for Research Association (ATRA), President of the Asian Productivity Organization Alumni Association of the Philippines, and Vice-President for Academe of the Government, Academe, Industry Network, Inc. (GAIN). Currently, he is the Chairman of the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation and Vice President of the Federation of Accrediting Agencies in the Philippines. He has been appointed as Chairman of CHED Technical Committee for Business Administration, Entrepreneurship and Office Administration. Recently, he was appointed by President Rodrigo Duterte as Philippine Quality Award Committee member. |
Ms. Grace Abella-Zata
Vice President for Industry Linkages of GAIN President of Corporate Executive Search Inc. Past President of the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) Ms. Grace Abella-Zata’s professional expertise is in job / person-organization fit and human resource planning and acquisition. She is currently the CEO of the IRCI Global Executive Board, a global community of executives, academics and members of the IRC Global Executive Search Partners, the number 1 owner-led network in the world, with a common interest in developing practical knowledge related to leadership, management, and the development of senior talent.
Grace has always been interested in research and groundbreaking perspectives in leadership and management, and as President of Corporate Executive Search or IRC Philippines, had access to practical knowledge and the evolving insights about talent management. Currently, she is President of Advanced Outsourcing and Business Services, and in that capacity, works with many young entrants to the workforce. She is a past President of the People Management Association of the Philippines, where she pioneered research on the topic of Academe Industry Mismatch. |
Dr. Jocelyn P. Tizon
Secretary of GAIN Executive Director of Asian Association of School HRMD Practitioners, Inc. (AASHPI) President of Southville International School and Colleges Dr. Jocelyn P. Tizon is the Executive Director of the Asian Association of School Human Resource Management and Development Practitioners, Inc. (AASHPI) and President of Southville International School and Colleges. She completed her Master in Business Administration with specialization in Human Resource Management at the American City University (2007), and has a 2nd Masters degree in International Hospitality Management from the Lyceum of the Philippines University-Batangas. Recently, she obtained her Doctor of Philosophy in Management from the same university.
Jo is a certified coach and user of the EQ-i 2.0 / EQ 360 assessments, as well as the aptitude assessment tool of Saville Consulting International Accreditation – Aptitude and Wave, and has successfully facilitated training sessions on leadership programs among heads and officers of schools. Her areas of management expertise include Human Resource Management, Competency Profiling, Organizational Assessment, Strategic Planning, Policy Development, Leadership and Management Development, Compensation and Benefits, Performance Management, and Training and Development. She is also an Author of Human Resource handbooks and research publications on Employee Engagement, Job Performance, and Predictive Personality Determinants, as well as an esteemed resource person of the abovementioned topics. She teaches courses in the MBA Program at SISFU and is an approved tutor of the University of Chester, London. |
Mr. Gerard B. Sanvictores
Treasurer of GAIN Chairman and President of Quantum Group Philippines Mr. Gerard B. Sanvictores is a Director and Treasurer of the Government Academe Industry Network Inc. (GAIN). He is Chairman and President of the Quantum Group of companies providing domestic and international recruitment services, project staffing and outsourced HR functions; and a Director in other companies engaged in property leasing and agricultural development. He is an Independent Director of the Capital Markets Integrity Corporation (CMIC)
Mr. Sanvictores is a Certified Public Accountant. He was a partner of SyCip Gorres Velayo & Co. and a former member of the Professional Regulatory Board of Accountancy (BOA) He is an active member of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) where he held various positions in the Institute over the last 40 years. He was elevated to the Accountancy Hall of Fame in 2019. He is Chairman of the Philippines-Japan Economic Cooperation Committee (PHILJEC), Vice President of the Philippines Japan Society, and a Trustee of the Philippines Japan Friendship Foundation. In September 2015, Mr. Sanvictores was awarded a Commendation from the Foreign Minister of Japan for his role in promoting mutual understanding between the Philippines and Japan. |
Mr. Rene M. Gener
Director of GAIN Executive Director of People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) Mr. Rene M. Gener is currently the Executive Director of People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP). He is a former Sr. Vice President for Human Resource Management and Development and PR and Publicity of Honda Philippines. He was also the Senior Vice-President and Corporate Human Resources Director of San Miguel Corporation. He has extensive experience in Human Resource Management and has attended various seminars both here and abroad.
He is a former President of Motorcycle Development Program Participants Association (Industry Association) and was the President of the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) in 2000. Rene was awarded as the Outstanding Personnel Manager of the Year (PMY) in 1996. |
Dr. Adlai C. Castigador
Director of GAIN Executive Director of the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) Dr. Adlai C. Castigador holds a Doctorate in Philosophy in Educational Management. He is currently the Executive Director and Quality Management Representative of the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA).
Among the significant projects that he initiated at PACUCOA were the installation of the planning structure, implementation of a regular staff development program and installation of a continuous quality improvement system, resulting in the following: award of ISO 9001:08 to PACUCOA, the first and only accrediting agency in the Philippines and in Southeast Asia to have been certified under ISO 9001:08; and acceptance of PACUCOA as full member of the International Network of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE). His engagement in quality assurance spans 18 years of technical assistance to HEI's in planning, organizing and implementing QA initiatives as well as heading a team of consultants and assessors, resulting in the accreditation of 350 programs based on 130 educational institutions. His publications include three books: Wholistic Reading, Self-Instructional Module in Communications Arts, and Wholistic Writing; compiled and edited at least 10 volumes of Anthology of Best Practices of Accredited Schools, Colleges and Universities, a yearly publication of PACUCOA. Dr. Adlai Castigador has been trained as an assessor of the ASEAN QUALITY ASSURANCE NETWORK (AQAN) based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and as assessor of the Philippine Quality Award. |
Mr. Rex Wallen L. Tan
Director of GAIN General Manager of Hopkins International Partners, Inc. Mr. Rex Wallen L. Tan holds a degree of 1st class Honors in Masters in Engineering, Computing: Artificial Intelligence from the Imperial College London. Imperial College is currently ranked 7th in the world in the QS World University Rankings® 2022, and is heralded as the top institution in the UK for science, engineering, medicine, and business.
Mr. Rex Wallen L. Tan currently serves as a Director at GAIN and is also the General Manager of Hopkins International Partners Inc., a partner of the Educational Testing Service (ETS). The Educational Testing Service delivers 50 million assessments yearly to 180 countries including the TOEFL, TOEIC, GRE, SAT, and PISA assessments. ETS was the test developer and global program manager of the most recent PISA assessments around the world. Mr. Rex Wallen L. Tan is an educational consultant to many of the top Universities in the country and is one of the most sought-after speakers on Global Competitiveness and Digital Literacy because of his AI degree and specialization. His research initiative on Global Competitiveness of Filipino Students in English Communication skills spurred top officials in the Philippine government, education, and industry to create initiatives that can strengthen the proficiency level of the Filipino graduates and the workforce. |
Dr. Genevieve V. Ledesma–Laurel
Executive Director of GAIN Founder and Current Vice-Chairman of Southville International School and Colleges Dr. Genevieve V. Ledesma–Tan is the Founder and Chief Executive Mentor of Southville International School and Colleges (SISC). She is also the Director of Southville Global Education Network (SGEN) which consists of 7 schools, internationally accredited and recognized institutions, and a pioneer in transnational education.
She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Literature, Cum Laude; her Master of Science Degree in Counseling Psychology; and her Doctorate Degree in Philosophy, major in Psychology. She pursued a Diploma course in Industrial Relations from the University of the Philippines and an Executive Program from Harvard University, Cambridge. She has rendered consulting services and conducted training programs to more than fifty (50) top business organizations. She has authored numerous books on Six (6) Qualities of High Achievers, Outstanding Filipino Achievers, Focused Interview, Human Resource Management, Organizational Productivity and Key Results Areas, Weekly Planning System, and Institutional Culture. She is an awardee of Siliman University as an Outstanding Alumna, a recipient of the MVP Bossing Award 2013 given by the PLDT SME Nation, Filipina Starpreneur Award given by GO Negosyo, an Ernst and Young-SGV awardee, and ASEAN Women Entrepreneurs Network (AWEN). She founded two professional organizations: the Asian Association of School Human Resource Practitioners Inc. (AASHPI) and Capital Market Institute of the Philippines (CMIP). |
