GAIN inks partnership with PACUCOA to strengthen Ph graduates’ global competitiveness |
The Government-Academe-Industry-Network Inc. (GAIN) and Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) have entered a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the intent to establish a program of collaborative partnership. The MoU potentially aims to facilitate cooperation, communication, and exchange; enhancement of comprehensive and interdisciplinary training for students and professionals; and the development of other initiatives to ensure the global competitiveness of the Philippine graduates and workforce.
The virtual signing ceremony was held last August 24, 2021 via Zoom conference meeting. Representing PACUCOA were its Chairman Dr. Conrado E. Iñigo Jr. and Executive Director Dr. Adlai C. Castigador. Representing GAIN were its Chairman Dr. Peter P. Laurel, President Ms. Monette Iturralde-Hamlin, Vice President for Government Linkages Dr. Raymund Arcega, Vice President for Industry Linkages Ms. Grace Abella-Zata, Treasurer of GAIN Mr. Gerry B. Sanvictores, Secretary Dr. Jocelyn P. Tizon, GAIN Executive Director Dr. Genevieve Ledesma-Tan, and Directors Mr. Rene Gener and Mr. Rex Wallen Tan. The MOU signing likewise celebrated the enduring partnership and expanded reciprocal relationships between GAIN and PACUCOA to implement roadmaps and strategies to enhance the global competitiveness of Philippine graduates and further the employability of the Philippine workforce. The agreement between the institutions encourages an environment of mutual collaboration through professional development, the scholarship of teaching and learning, and joint research and innovation activities. |
