With the intent to establish a program of collaborative partnership, the Government-Academe-Industry-Network Inc. (GAIN) and Asian Association of School HRMD Practitioners, Inc. (AASHPI) have entered a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The MoU potentially aims to facilitate cooperation, communication, and exchange; enhancement of comprehensive and interdisciplinary training for students and professionals; and the development of other initiatives to ensure the global competitiveness of the Philippine graduates and workforce.
GAIN is a nonprofit organization which aims to pave the path for the government, academe, and the industry to identify and address workforce issues which can only be resolved through the collaborative efforts and synergy of experts and decision makers from the different sectors. Representing GAIN for the virtual signing were its Chairman Dr. Peter Laurel, President Ms. Monette Iturralde-Hamlin, Vice President for Government Linkages Dr. Raymund Arcega, Secretary Dr. Jocelyn P. Tizon, GAIN Executive Director Dr. Genevieve Ledesma-Tan, and Director Mr. Rex Wallen Tan. AASHPI is the leading human resource association of educational institutions in the Philippines and in Asia committed to excellence in people management skills, organizational development, research, innovation, linkages, and advocacies. Representing AASHPI for the virtual signing were its President Ms. Myrna “Mimie” G. Reyes, Vice President for Internal Affairs Dr. Susan T. Mostajo, Corporate Secretary Dr. B'julah Q.
